Posion

Poison

My hand turns gnarled and black like soot,
I try to scream but my mouth is clamped shut.
My eyes grow wide as it snakes up my arm,
I know one thing for certain- This stuff does harm.

It spreads up my neck and onto my head,
I struggle to breathe and my arm feels like lead.
Its coming for me, I can’t breathe any more…
Finally I gasp for breath like a swimmer at the shore.

My head becomes grey and my skin starts to peel,
A tear rolls down my cheek as my mouth begins to seal…
My hair loses its shine and starts to come out,
My friends around me notice and begin to shout.

They told me not to touch the frog,
Upon the dirty, mossy log.
It skin was bright, like shimmering gold,
I should have listened and done as I was told.

Now the poison was in my blood,
I could’ve escaped it, I know I could,
They take my hands and tell me to live,
But my life was now draining like sugar in a sieve.

My body goes into spasm and I fall to the floor,
The pain in my stomach hurts more and more,
I pull at the grass with my blackened hands,
I wish to see the hills, the rocks, the shimmering sands…

I was dying, I knew it, as my eyes began to close,
Next to my sad grey head grew a single, lone rose.
I reached out with a shaky hand and stroked its petals, so red,
Now, within seconds, I lay silent…

A Hero's Tale

A Hero’s Tale

Through the battlefields I ride,
On my gallant steed,
Ignoring the shells and bombs above,
All of this just because of Kaiser’s greed.

A rifle raised at my gelding’s chest,
I lifted my own and shot him dead,
But the bullet didn’t stop flying at my horse,
And soon he lay in a puddle of red.

Filled with anger, and hatred and rage,
I screamed my grief over my mount’s shell,
I sobbed into his neck and cradled his head,
All I wanted to do was shout and yell.

Guns fired all around me, but I didn’t care,
But I heard gunfire from behind me, while I was standing in the mud,
I whipped my head around to look, but it was too late,

And soon I lay on the dirt, in an expanding pool of my own scarlet blood.

Midnight -Poem

Midnight

The sky turned black and the stars were bright,
The moon rose high and cast down a light.
They high up in the mountains, very close to the moon,
A red Wolf howled, it's coat a shining maroon.

It came down the mountain, taking care with each foot,
However hard he tried, he got a large, deep cut.
He needed treatment he needed it fast,
Otherwise his next breath could possibly be his last.

A kind soul found him and gave him extra care,
As the Wolf was so weak he could only stare.
As the human gently wiped his scar,
The Wolf looked in his eyes: He knew that he will go far.

The Wolf stood, his eyes shining red,
He was about to leave when the human said:
"Goodbye little Wolf; I will miss you so,
I just want to say I am your friend not your foe."

Moonlight -Poem

Moonlight

Horse hooves thudded on the ground hard,
It galloped over wood; Burned and charred.
There had been a forest  fire earlier that day,
Any living soul could no longer stay.

The stallion cantered over the hot floor,
And over the purple and grass-green moor.
And when he reached the top of the hill,
He stopped and waited; Standing still.

After an hour of standing like this,
A girl ran up to him and gave him a kiss.
He snorted happily and reared up high,
Then sprouting black wings, he flew up in the sky.

Spirit review

Spirit the DVD is one of the best DVDs EVER! I said it was 'sappy and scunny (happy and sad and scary and funny)' It is basically a mustang that becomes the leader of the Chimmeron herd. One day he spots a fire from the Cowboys' settling, and he goes down to check it out. He wakes up the cowboys and they chase him down to his field. Just when he thought it was over, they capture him and take him away from his mares, stallions, foals and his mother. if I told you what happens next it wouldn't be a surprise now would it? I just think it was the best film I've ever watched absolutely amazing and Pixar and disney and all of them massive film making companies should really make more films like it. It'll make you laugh, cry, scream and smile. He is so funny in fact that he said,'Just when I thought I was free, more ropes...'
This is the trailer for spirit.
